Candle Care

The first time you burn your candle is the most important.
Make sure to allow the wax to melt across the entire top layer right to the edge of the container to prevent a tunnelling effect and help promote an even burn for the candles 'life'. This may take between 2 - 4 hours.
Trimming your wick is also essential for the safety of your candle jar and the lifespan of your candle, as this helps with an even burn each time.
-
Start by cutting your wick down to 5mm of an inch after every single burn🔥
-
Maximum burn time for your candle should be no longer than 4 hours! Extensive burning times can lead to smoking, sooting, or overheating of the vessel.
-
Avoid placing your candle near any drafts to keep your flame steady and the scent thro strong.
-
Never leave your candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when leaving the room or going to sleep.
-
Burn on a stable, heat resistant surface away from flammable objects
-
Do not use if glass jar is damaged or broken.
-
Discard candle once wax has burned down to 6mm from base of glass.
If you DON’T trim your wick, you run the risk of...
-
Candle getting too hot 🔥
-
Leaving the wick as is will cause excessive soot buildup and your candle will not burn correctly 😢.
-
Leaving the wick to burn will cause a very high flame.
-
Your jar getting very hot and likely to crack or explode because wick is too high and flame is too hot.
